I'll try and keep this short. I'm on the hunt for my first ukulele. I do have a handful of (off and on) years experience playing guitar. Mostly acoustic. I would consider myself an "average player. " Chords, fingerpicking, solo notes... SOMETIMES I have a hard time stretching my fingers. I have skinny fingers. Average size hands? I'm torn between a concert vs. tenor. Brands? Was thinking Kana? Ohana? Maybe Islander? I don't have any super close shops near me. Def none that will pre setup the uke. I was going to order online from a place whom will perform a setup. The uke doesn't have to be THE BEST! I'm sure what ever I get I will want to upgrade, buy more ukes, etc. Maybe somewhere in the $150 range? Give or take? I definitely don't want to just strum chords. I like fingerpicking and solo notes and scales. If that helps. I think my brain is just overloaded with TOO MUCH information. And I don't know where to turn lol. Thanks!

the pun was just to trick you into thinking this is a fun post, it isn't. Beginner here, looking to go into a shop and purchase my first uke. Small country so there aren't really any other options but these for concert ukes. Looking for thoughts on: Lanikai ULU21C Concert Tanglewood Union Series TU 3 Concert Tanglewood Union Series TU 7 X L (XM) Concert Tanglewood Union Series TU 7 X SPL Concert Belfast Music does not appear to stock replacement strings and the current strings are nylon, would it be grand to purchase some better strings and bring them in to have the bloke behind the counter change them and set up my ukulele for me? (question; what does "setting up" a uke entail? I just know not to do try doing it myself. ) Are these strings okay or should I look online? Sorry about tricking you in with a pun... please don't go... uke-lear on me.
